Every year, for eleven years, horticulturists, nurserymen, florists, artists, musicians, puppeteers, visual artists and decorators have stormed the old town and, as if by magic, during the last weekend of September, the sublime in a feast of colors and perfumes. The heritage setting of Cité Plantagenêt is like reinvented. Each one appropriates it to him according to his own fantasy: one moves from garden to garden, from closed to closed, one crosses courses of mansions, one takes shortcuts while tumbling down flowery stairs, secret passages bucolic which skirt a orchard, a vineyard, a garden of medicinal plants. The vegetable and floral world rivals elegance with old walls, old doors, heavy leaves. It is always a joyful dialogue with architecture. It is this marriage of stones and flowers that gives this festival a unique character. Lovers of art and nature in the city meet at Le Mans every autumn.
